The aesthetic is Japanese-inflected: warm timber tones paired with deep navy, clean without being cold. And unlike so many specialty cafés that stop at coffee and cake, the kitchen reaches toward Asia — proper ramen, dishes that feel like something your stomach actually asked for. I find myself here often: before a library visit, or after losing track of time wandering the Victoria Market stalls. A flat white and a lemon petit gâteau, or a bowl of ramen. Either way, unhurried.
